Implementing DSP Algorithms on FPGAs using MATLAB and Simulink

Abstract:

We will present a single integrated workflow for speeding up the implementation and verification of algorithms in FPGAs and ASICs.  You will gain insight into using the Model-Based Design methodology for developing algorithms for hardware implementation. With MathWorks HDL Tools you can control HDL architecture and implementation, highlight critical paths, and generate hardware resource utilization estimates. The tools also provides traceability between your Simulink model and the generated Verilog and VHDL code, enabling code verification for high-integrity applications adhering to DO-254 and other standards.

Jonas Rutström, Senior Application Engineer, MathWorks

Jonas joined the application engineering team at MathWorks in 2009. Before that he worked for eight years as a developer, project manager, and brand manager at Dirac Research, a Swedish company providing audio signal processing solutions for the automotive and consumer market. In addition to his focus on DSP-related applications, he is also interested in sales, marketing and business development. Jonas holds an M.Sc. in information technology and a technical licentiate in signal processing from Uppsala University. During his graduate studies, he worked in the area of communication and audio signal processing.
